Later on that night, Lara's male parent drops her off at Peter's home. She ventures onto the house's porch and rings the door, with eagerness. Withal, when Peter answers the doorbell, the indifferent demeanor he presents shakes her confidence. Peter's lack of emotion causes Lara to believe that he would be uninterested in receiving in the letter. Lara instead quickly searches her mind and tries to convince Peter that she has stopped by to wish him a happy New year. As Lara turns to leave, Peter notices that a letter is sticking out of her pocket and swiftly grabs it. Lara becomes flustered and tries to stop Peter, but he somewhen snatches it away and reads it in front of her. Lara and Peter were a couple one time before, simply they broke due to a disagreement. The letter is a sincere apology, and he confesses that he still holds feelings for her as well. The two determine to begin dating again.
